Hopefully you’ll be able to find the answers all of your questions!
Typically, the weather will be very sunny – the high will be somewhere in the mid-70s to low-80s however, there may also be a chance of tropical storms. These normally don’t last very long and don’t usually stop anyone from their plans.
Yes, the island is small but you definitely need a car to get around from place to place. They don’t really have Uber or Lyft on the island, so it would be best if you had your own way of getting around.
The ceremony will be at Waiʻoli Huiʻia Church and the reception will be at Tahiti Nui in Hanalei. You can find more information about each location on our Wedding Info page here:
Wedding InfoWe are asking our guests to please arrive at 1:30 PM for the ceremony, as we are planning to begin around 2 PM.
There will be plenty of parking at the church for the ceremony, and the restaurant we are using for the reception is normally closed on Saturdays so we will have their entire parking lot as well. If we need more parking, there is a small lot directly across the street from Tahiti Nui.
The rehearsal dinner will be casual attire. B’s Kitchen is a decent restaurant, so dress appropriately. For more information, here is a link to the restaurant:
We want our guests to be comfortable so wear your nicest, most comfortable Hawaiian outfit! Since we are having a Luau as our reception, we were thinking dressy casual.
For guys, we were thinking some sort of collared shirt (maybe Hawaiian) and feel free to wear pants, shorts, shoes, or sandals.
For girls, casual wedding attire, or feel free to go floral or Hawaiian, and your choice on heels, flats, or sandals.
Keep in mind that the bride and groom will be wearing wedding attire (i.e. wedding dress and nice suit).
Here are a few articles for advice:
Since June can bring tropical storms, we have both our ceremony and reception inside.
Once the ceremony is over, we will all meet outside and take pictures with anyone that would like a picture with us, outside the church. Once that is done, we can all head over to Tahiti Nui to start the cocktail hour and reception at 3 PM.
